At ACT FAST, our mission is to provide high-quality First Aid & CPR training to individuals, companies and organizations in your community. Everyone should have the knowledge and skills to care for yourself or others in an emergency situation.
Instructing all levels of First Aid and CPR has been a passion for well over 20 years.
As a Training Provider with the Red Cross and Instructor through the Heart & Stroke Foundation, we wish to deliver up-to-date, engaging and amazing courses!
Red Cross offers certification in Level A (Adult) & Level C (Infant, Child & Adult) CPR Courses. Both in-class and blended (online/in-class) options!
BLS (HCP) CPR is offered through the Red Cross & Heart & Stroke programs.
The Basic one-day course offers skills in scene and patient assessment, circulation, wound care and respiratory emergencies, including choking, Level A or C CPR & AED.
The Intermediate two-day course covers all above, as well as further injury management and care of more sudden medical emergencies. Head, neck and back injuries are covered along with poisons and environmental emergencies!
The Red Cross offers options in the CPR and First Aid courses where participants can complete the online theory modules at their own pace, then skills are scheduled to finish the certification. This option cuts in class time in half!
Take your training outdoors for either a 20-hour Remote or 40-hour Wilderness Certification. A fun, challenging setting to expand your skills and use what you have on you!
Additional certification is available in Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy for those working in dental clinics or volunteer fire services. Increase your member's scope of practice to a 40-hour First Responder or 80-hour Advanced First Aid Level. Contact us for more information.
Learn how to support yourself and others to cope with the effects of various stressors. Classroom-based or blended options are available for the two online modules, Self Care & Care for Others. This is an amazing team-building course, promoting wellness in supporting others and checking in for yourself!
Youth courses are great opportunities to learn skills for babysitting jobs or to stay home alone.
